Souletics Coach Mr. Smith — Pro-Level Results, Real-Life Experience

Mr. Smith doesn’t debate “potential.” He delivers proof.

From excelling as a three-sport high school athlete to earning a Division I football scholarship—and making a CFL roster over future NFL starters—he has competed at every level of elite sport.

At Utah State, he was a two-sport Division I athlete (Track + Football), graduating early in Information Systems with a Computer Science emphasis while finishing 2nd in the nation for total interceptions over his four-year college career (17th)  and ranking 20th on the Div. 1 NCAA all-time interceptions list upon graduating. 

Post-graduation, he signed with the Calgary Stampeders (CFL), made the team, and beat out defensive backs who later became NFL starters. After an injury and release, he transitioned into technology—without ever abandoning the athlete’s training mindset.

Immediately transitioning to working for Big Tech as a Physical Design Engineer and Mask Design, then transiting to AI/Data Science building a predictive intelligence program for performance evaluation and more recent as an AI Solution Architect. For more visit Linkedin. 

His professional path includes building global technology systems at Intel, racing pro motocross, and racing Professional BMX, and more recent UCI sanctioned World Championship events in France, and Denmark for Team USA. He now opens his gym—the same place his children and their friends play—to teach what it truly takes to reach the next level to anyone who has heart, and edifying character, and a willingness to bring out them best in themselves and others.

Who They Are

Souletics® is for individuals who are traditionally underrepresented and overlooked. Founded in 2004 by a former professional football player, action sports athlete, and computer engineering professional, Souletics® emerged from inspirational stories designed to open new ground—especially where support is scarce.

Why They Exist

Souletics® addresses the lack of representation, funding, and guidance for talented, soulful, underrepresented, overlooked, and underfunded athletes. Too often, talent is extracted while personal development and life outcomes are ignored.

Mission: prepare athletes for peak performance across mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, and economic dimensions. From lived experience, Souletics® believes these athletes are the IT factor.

The Brand

A premium lifestyle brand advancing career and mental development alongside athleisure and sports apparel designed by and for the community. As a mission-based brand, Souletics® reinvests in communities to elevate physical fitness, intellectual growth, and economic support.

Unapologetically Honest, Steadfast in Faith

Souletics® recognizes how major brands frequently decline to support disciplined, high-performing athletes while selectively elevating individuals to fit prevailing narratives. Once inside those systems, athletes are often encouraged—explicitly or tacitly—to detach from their communities and real issues.

Souletics® rejects that model. Athletes do not have to abandon their roots to excel.

Purpose vs. Activism

Souletics® does not require athletes to be political activists or social influencers. The expectation is mastery of their craft and continuous growth, while acknowledging that some issues are central to identity and history. With faith and strategy, Souletics® moves forward deliberately.

Ownership

Souletics® is building its own table: a sponsorship network, support system, and organization that can rival the largest brands. Energy is redirected from seeking external approval to training, studying, and improving—pursuing excellence and sustaining it.
